While Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi (approximately 220 km away) is the nearest major airport to Agra; there are two main railheads, namely Agra Cantt and Agra Fort railway stations, serving the city. However, travelling to Agra by roadways and state buses is the easiest and cheapest way of reaching here.

There are 5 nearby airports – Delhi (200km), Jaipur (225km), Gwalior (120km), Kanpur (250km), Lucknow (300km). Asia's biggest International Airport at Jewar (Noida) is under construction and expected to begin operations by mid of 2024. It is 90 minutes drive from venue, connected by the expressway.

 

By Road

2.5 hrs from Delhi & 3.5 hrs from Jaipur & Lucknow.
Highways - NH 02/19, NH-3, NH-21, NH-509 - Connecting Agra to Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Jhansi, Gwalior and Jaipur, Aligarh respectively.
Expressways :
1. Yamuna Expressway - Delhi, Noida & Agra 165 kms - 2 hours
2. Lucknow Expressway - Agra – Lucknow 302 km - 3 hours
3. Bundelkhand Expressway – Lucknow - Chitrakoot 296 km - 3 hours

 

 

By Train

Agra has a vast railway network connecting almost all major cities of India. It has 4 major railway stations - Agra Cantt, Agra Fort, Idgah, Raja Ki Mandi. Agra Cantt & Raja Ki Mandi - connects North West and South, such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Jaipur. Tundla and Agra Fort - connecting to East and North East. There are more than 300 trains connecting Agra with various parts of the Country, including Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, Gatimaan Express, Rajdhani Express etc and the luxury Palace on Wheels. Agra Metro Rail Project is expected to start in March, 2024.
